How I Got Mine:
This figure was purchased from eBay US (2014).
Extra Info:
- This is the later and much darker version of the Teardrop bears which came out around 1990.
- The face on a Teardrop bear normally has a "teardrop" shape white or ivory marking on and around the muzzle, thus the name. These marks are hard to find intact because of age and play.
- Japanese figures are slightly larger than any others from the same time period. Coupled with how dark he is, it is safe to conclude this fellow is, indeed, a Teardrop.
- His clothing is not original. While the outfit is still a Japanese release, it is meant for the Timbertop grandfather.
