- Mother Pansy is famous for her funny mix-ups. One year she gave out chocolate eggs on the 4th of July and shot off fireworks at Thanksgiving!
- Father Durwood and his family are all a little nutty. He says that's what makes life exciting. "What could be better than a house full of fun?" he asks. A house full of nuts: Chestnuts! In the 1988 Annual, there is a story that clearly places Durwood as a postman.
- Sylvanian Families love Sister Myrtle's crazy ways. Once she threw a surprise party - for herself, and told everyone not to tell her about it.
- Brother Grover always asks crazy questions. What time is tomorrow? Where is up? Who makes air? His family gives even crazier answers.
- Baby Sister Charity is such a little wiggler. She wiggles so much she rocks her own cradle.
- Baby Brother Hoss knows what he likes. He likes food. He loves to eat. And eat 'n eat 'n eat 'n eat.
