Review
The Price
Li'l Woodzeez retail for about $10 - $15 USD.
The Package
The package is an open cardboard one without a plastic window. This is a bit discouraging to collectors because of the risk of damage to the figures. The package, however, is quite sturdy...a little TOO sturdy. It was rather difficult to open and get these figures out.
The Figures
While their size is a bit comparable to Sylvanians, there are a lot of key differences. Woodzeez have a very round body with more cartoonish features. The clothing is removable, but it is stitched as one single piece. Like Sylvanians, they are jointed, flocked, and come in an assortment of different animals. Not every family has the same child dynamic, either (one boy, one girl, etc.). The turtle family has removable shells, which is an interesting feature.
The storybook itself is not just another flimsy pamphlet, but a tiny glue-bound booklet.

The Conclusion
I don't feel many collectors will jump onto these as they feel more for children around the 3 year old mark. They are chunky and stable, though they do have some tiny pieces in their furniture sets. It seems like these figures were made for smaller hands. The furniture and accessory sets are oddly colored and the buildings follow suit. Once this toy line moved from Walmart to Target stores, the color patterned changed and they eliminated the skunk family. Li'l Woodzeez are wonderful for smaller children who tend to be rough or have trouble picking smaller things up. Collectors, most likely, will only pick them up as a novelty.
